Have you seen this boring, bland bus shelter on the corner of Bigelow and Boston? Just wait because things are about to change! Our second graders have spent much of the fall learning about Water. Their learning has included learning about the water cycle, as well as how important water is as a resource for not only our neighborhood but other communities in our world. Well, at QAE it's not just enough to learn about a topic yourself, but its important to share your learning with others. Our second graders plan to share their learning with others by transforming this ordinary bus shelter into a piece of art that may inspire others to see how they can help protect this special resource. AuthorThis is my fifth year working at Queen Anne Elementary in Seattle, Washington. The first three were spent guiding the curious minds of first graders. This is my second year as the Project Based Learning Coordinator for our school. What a treat to be working in this role. I get to spend my day working closely with the amazing teachers at our school, and to help all students become engaged learners, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens. Archives
