PBL projects are both wrapping up and are in the works all the time. Over the past couple of weeks a couple of grades have created videos of what has been happening in their classrooms. Our second graders created an amazing video all about their water project. Grab a cup of coffee and watch this 7 minute video to see what incredible researchers our second graders are becoming.
It's Valentine's Day and as much as I love my own amazing family, I'm going to get a little mushy about my love for my co-workers. The teachers here at QAE are some of the most caring, creative and dedicated staff members I've ever had an opportunity to work with. They are also pretty modest about what is actually happening in their classrooms. So I thought I'd do a little sharing. But the second graders are not allow in their efforts to show what is takin place in their classroom. Here is a movie trailer about what is coming up from the third grade PBL project on designing a living wall. After watching those, you can easily see why one of the things I lOVE this Valentine's Day is the teachers and staff at Queen Anne Elementary. Hope you are spending part of the day with someone you love.

AuthorThis is my fifth year working at Queen Anne Elementary in Seattle, Washington. The first three were spent guiding the curious minds of first graders. This is my second year as the Project Based Learning Coordinator for our school. What a treat to be working in this role. I get to spend my day working closely with the amazing teachers at our school, and to help all students become engaged learners, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens. Archives
